Damar Hamlin
The YouTube video to the right is a detailed discussion of the Damar Hamlin incident during a Monday Night Football game on January 2, 2023. Dr. Lipi Roy from NYU does a good job explaining cardiac arrest, resuscitation and Damar's individual case.
Damar went into cardiac arrest on the field of the NFL game.
He was discharged 9 days to his home after recovering in the hospital from the cardiac arrest.
The "Team Emergency Response" by the doctors, EMS personnel and trainers on the field was how the process of cardiac resuscitation is supposed to happen.
The medical team provided CPR and a shock from an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) on the field to bring back Damar.
